    I'm sure you don't think synthesizing something new is the only way to make something of value. As a pop artist of the main mainstream, that's really not a standard I hold to Cardi anyway. She's an aggregater who can still maintain her own identity even if it is through a lot more media than just the music.

    As for unified, the album runs great. She might not write the lyrics or create the beats, but she curates all the parts. It doesn't sound like the product of label notes.

    If that's the result of label control then we need to rethink artist autonomy cause Drake's album and Post's album and Nicki's singles and other rap as relevant to pop as her's hasn't been up to snuff. At all.
