Jul 27, 2017 Strictly post 2010 here, so faves like Kanye, Joe Budden, Ghostface etc. and such won't be added in here but: The Weeknd - (Huge fan of Trilogy, Kiss Land is a classic f--- the haters, BBTM has some gems, Starboy I thought was great aside from a few fillers though honestly I haven't listened to it in a while...) Tyler, The Creator - Glad he's progressed out of his r---, killing, shock value rap. Always loved his production so now that he's kept progressing his production and keeping lyrics more clean it's excellent. Earl Sweatshirt - Great word play, matured quickly (see Tyler, The Cretor) out of the shock value rap. Very talented. I Don't Like s---, I Don't Go Outside was my favourite album of 2015. Frank Ocean - Incredible singer, I remember I started listening to him and The Weeknd around the same time. I liked The Weeknd more but honestly idk any more, I've definitely been listening to Blonde, Channel Orange and Nostalgia Ultra much more than any of my Weeknd stuff in the last few months. Vince Staples - Summertime 06 was one of my favourite albums of 2015. Big Fish Theory is a good project to. Kendrick Lamar - I listened to Section .80 back in August 2011 on the way to a camping trip and thought it was good. Rigamortus was ridiculous, been a fan since. GKMC was great, TPAB was good despite some hate of it being jazzy. d--- was great though I will admit I haven't visited the project in full since maybe May? Drake - I didn't really like him when he first came out. My friends were pretty big stans and back then I was more listening to guys like Madlib, Common, Talib Kweli so maybe it was just that phase for me. But I definitely started liking him much more around the NWTS phase. Also, Take Care DID introduce me to The Weeknd from Crew Love. Some I like but not overly favourites: Majid Jordan - I like their EP's, the album wasn't all that bad either. Kaytranada - I like his style of production, different but neat sounding beats. Roy Woods - Different sound but a good R&B artist. J. Cole - His mixtapes were fire, albums not bad but I'll still look for his stuff. I really liked Sideline: The Cole Story despite all the hate it gets. Though admittedly I've only listen to 4 Your Eyez Only once.
Jul 27, 2017 Yelawolf Kendrick Lamar J. Cole The Weeknd Still Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre & Eminem Bruno Mars Big Sean Stuck at the old classics so much that I hardly ever check out any new artists for real other than rappers. So not much to write on that list but might have forgot a few names..
