Mar 15, 2021 First game I ever really loved like that was Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee And it’s still as good today as it ever was
Mar 15, 2021 I was obsessed with FIFA 09 in particular, even though all around that era were fantastic. Ever since 14 it’s been awful, ultimate team killed it.
Mar 16, 2021 Probably Mortal Kombat 1 or Street Fighter 2. The arcades. Back when arcades were popular and were the best versions of the game. I had the Genesis ports of the games but they never matched up to the actual arcades and the experience of going to an arcade. Talking s--- to some random, adolescent Trust Fund Baby online is one thing. Being a little kid and beating an older kid at an arcade game is another. Fights used to break out over that. I still remember the first time I saw the MK1 arcade at a random bodega when I was a kid. It was the Test of Might challenge. I knew I had to do some research on what that game was all about. That MK trailer took me back to that era, I hope the film doesn’t disappoint. Non-fighting game wise, I’d go with the OG X-Men arcade that was based on the pilot X-Men cartoon. I played that arcade often. Beat it countless times. I would throw Sonic 1 in there as well. That and Batman Returns were the first games I ever owned. I think part of the success of the Sonic film is that they tapped into the nostalgia of Sonic 1 to a certain degree. PS1 wise, Metal Gear Solid was a huge game changer for me. A true cinematic, game experience.
Mar 16, 2021 While Street Fighter was the first game i ever played on NES, the games that always remain as a gamechanger for me are The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and Pokmeon 1st generation
Mar 16, 2021 San Andreas was the first game that I became enamoured with. I can’t even begin to guess how many hours I put into that game. It shaped my taste in music, too. Radio Los Santos >>
