Feb 13, 2021 Yeaahhhh. That Wayne one I actually didn’t know at the time. I didn’t find out until after I had already gotten it but I figured since I had it and had a distribution deal with it to go ahead and use it.
Feb 13, 2021 I’m not entirely sure but They did some kind of deal with Holy Toledo productions to allow leasing of the verse. But I know it was legit because I had to provide my signed licenses and s--- and it took months to get it all approved and up on Spotify and iTunes and s---. Like the distribution company I used had contacted Wayne’s team and make sure it was real. I actually almost gave up because I went back and forth with them for awhile and then finally after like two weeks of hearing nothing they emailed me saying it had been approved.
Feb 13, 2021 bruh This what im talking about though bruh I would never pay that, they giving me that s--- for free and getting royalties or its a scrap
Feb 13, 2021 Well I mean the Tech was a custom exclusive though. So maybe I would pay like 5k and royalties
Feb 14, 2021 But this is completely inorganic and gives people the same verses across an array of songs. Aren’t you better saving that money to work exclusively with artists and producers?
Feb 14, 2021 No. Jesus Christ do you read. It says Tech was a custom exclusive. I’m saying that’s what I would spend for a custom exclusive tech. edit: maybe I’m not clarifying well enough, a custom exclusive is a track made explicitly for me only on a beat of my choice. The other ones the leased verses are made on a beat and leased for me to use for profit, they only run from 50-250 bucks depending on the artists and if I want unlimited rights or not
Feb 14, 2021 n----- watch your mouth. So question, why can’t you go straight to the artist if it’s being exclusively made for you? What is this middle man
Feb 14, 2021 My dude, I've gotta agree with @Antman here—I'd spend time honing your craft before you spend money on features to boost your profile. People are gonna discover you through those features, and you want them to be like "d--- who's this guy Killah Priest did a song with I'll check him out" not like "d--- why did Killah Priest do a verse with this random guy who can't keep a beat." I'm not trying to be mean or tell you how to spend your money, but as a listener my honest opinion is that you still sound amateur and it's a really stark contrast between you and a vet wu affiliate and even @Ricky who sounds much more natural on here. You've certainly improved a lot since I first heard you but honing your craft to the point that it sounds professional is gonna take some time.
Feb 14, 2021 how, want me to take my eyeballs out, turn them around? the middle man is a production company, they just make it easier to get in contact with major artists that normally would never respond to unknown guys like me
Feb 14, 2021 Its all sketchy as f--- and really outdated, if you really want to do music idk why you'd buy prefab verses and beats tbh
