Simeone could have worked considering the talent available leans more towards the "Bilardista" side of Argentina (more conservative/gritty in defense + midfield but relies on a supreme creative talent and clinical transitioning attacks) rather than the "Menottista" style of playing fancy attacking football.

It's harder to play for Argentina than any other country, the press is toxic and the fans are demanding if you don't sweat out that jersey (see Diego Maradona). No other nation has remained relevant since the 1930s and onwards, 3 of the 10 greatest players to have ever lived are Argentinian.

The reason ^^

Almost every time he got the ball in a dangerous position he lost it. The lack of holdup play made it harder to attack through the middle. It's not a lack of service. He's clearly off form and probably shouldnt be playing.

That said. MOTM is clearly Sergi Roberto, Umtiti would deserve it if he scored that chance, but he didn't. Sergi was more dangerous on the flank than Deulofeu. Created alot of chances and got the assist.

It's so ironic, that last season Madrid would make comebacks like this, and we would draw or probably lose. Especially against a team like Sociedad, who Real play next. If Real lose i'm calling La Liga early.

Zidane to blame though. 6 strikers was r-----ed. They had f--- all control in the middle, so nothing was ever stopping betis from walking through the middle and starting an attack. They were just afraid of committing lol. Ramos of course being a striker was out of position while tracking back. And Asensio looked like a b---- out there. Nerves were clearly hitting him.

Real's la liga chances aren't done but.... these loses/draws this early in the season are going to make it really hard for them down the road. They've already dropped 7 points within the first month of the season. Most recent la liga winners dropped 20-24 points by the end of the season. Little room for error for them down the line.

That was really his first game since his Betis loan spell. He mightve played in the reserve team in the 2nd half of last season I wasnt really following.

But he played really well last night, took on the game, scored a good goal and was unlucky to not get a 2nd. Showing his potential which is pretty exciting. Bakayoko was probably the MOTM tho.

So, Bayern got absolutely smashed by PSG yesterday and fired Ancelotti the next day. I would be lying if I said I don't enjoy Bayern's fall from grace this season.
