@Michael Myers Edson Alvarez is now an Ajax player, I'm so happy I finally get to root for him now that he's not wearing that hideous Club America shirt

He's a fantastic reader of the game, technically sound for a defender and is tactically flexible; he can play as a centre-back, Defensive midfielder and even right back if needed. I'm looking forward to see the passing side of his game continue to grow in the Eredivisie, Lozano is likely leaving so I'll be rooting for Ajax!

Heartbroken about Marco, hope he comes back stronger. I always take preseason with a relaxed attitude, there are never premonitions people should create with the games we played but with that out the way:

- Loved Hazard's contributions--he adds so much clarity and guile to our offense with his touches & movement, plays on another wavelength compared to us mortals. That playmaking gonna be so delightful to watch, just need to hope our rise in chance creation concludes in expected goals (looking at you Benz, hope Jovic gets plenty of minutes).

- Rodrygo is exactly what we need; a very vertical and intelligent player, not so flashy but uses flair in the right doses. He reminds me of a Brazilian version of Saviola but probably gonna be a better final-end player. Where his position will finally be is still a ?

- Thank you Barca for Kubo, he has "it". Gonna be fun to watch him & our Brazilian wonderkids grow, just gotta be patient

- We could use another runner in midfield, I'm not against signing Pogba due to his skill set being what we need. Giving Modric the CR7 treatment (resting him only for the big games) could give us an edge in those crucial moments in the season. Hopefully Pajarito Valverde continues his upward trajectory as he could solve all our issues.

- I wish Bale got a better resolution to his time here, there will always be an asterisk of the big picture (injuries derailing his time here). His brightest moments should be celebrated, he was a crucial purchase in this decade.

Wow goat, I still remember watching that goal live, that was what cemented me as a football romantic for the rest of my life.

Did you catch the Audi Cup? I'm still calm but the concerns are extremely evident. Zizou needs to get back on his word of making big changes and let the young guns go out there and as he would say "suffer". It won't be an easy paradigm shift, but it's necessary for us to evolve and let the past be the past.
