    My football heads! Just wondering if I could get some insight into those that follow LaLiga in regards to Javi Lopez from Espanyol?

    He's the most recent signee for Adelaide United and from what I've read he seems like a quality signing

    To be fair, I have never heard of him and that's probably because I mostly follow Real Madrid and whatever is related to the team. I looked him up tho, he seems decent, not bad at all.

    I remember him, he was a long standing player for Espanyol for many years. Mostly played at fullback and sometimes defensive midfield when Pochettino was there. He's not the type of player that will lift the stadium off their feet, but what you do get is a player with experience of La Liga's zenith years to pass on to a whole new generation

    Yeah I've never heard of this bloke but we will certainly take anyone from La Liga!

    We love our Spanish players. I miss those days when we had Gombau as manager with Cirio, Isaias and Pablo Sanchez :wow2:

    Larger than life. Admittedly I need to learn more about his legacy, but his impact was far reaching. Even my mum who doesn't know a lick of English and hardly knows her sports knows about Maradona.

    On a slightly brighter note, my team ( Rangers ) threw away a 2-0 lead to Benfica to draw 2-2 tonight. But our rivals Celtic got f----- 4-1.

    Two games where you could easily win against benfica I was rooting for you guys, benfica is nothing but a big corruption machine. I just hate them.

    Don't love em, they represent everything bad about sport and society.

    You have no idea how big their net of corruption is, from lawyers, to judges, to Minister's etc

    Even last week a minister from Portugal gave an interview saying benfica can do what they want because they are above the law, imagine, they don't even cover up.
