I've been playing the closed beta all weekend, and I'm definirely more hype about getting this game now. Anyone else considering getting it or want to know what the beta has been like, ask away.

cant do beta vause download so big if i download it, the full game will be released by the time its done. bs.

how is the combat? like overall? from what ive seen, the part im most skeptical about is the combat, seems like it could be very gimmicky and may get old after a while.

also is there much difference between the factions? apart from visually? like are knights for example heavier armored but slow, while vikings arent as heavily armored, but faster?

Yeah the download was big lol. The combat is simple, but I feel the parrying and counters are a big sluggish. Example, the only way to avoid armor breaks is to counter it before it actually happens. It's kind of hard to explain, but it's really frustrating getting thrown off a bridge or ledge because the armor break counter is so slow.

1v1s and 2v2s are really fun. 2v2s can get really strategic especially if a team decides to cross lines and double team one of your partner. Some of the maps make it difficult to get to your teammate in time, so call outs are really important to let them know someone is about to crossover.

Vikings hit HARD AS f---. I have the most difficult time against them. When they armor break you, they punish you for it. I play with nobushi, who is a hybrid samurai. She fights with a pole arm and I can keep my opponent at a distance.

Although it's the beta, they do showoff some of the aspects to being with samurai, Knights or Vikings. I picked the samurai faction. There are different customizations for each faction, for example Vikings can get tattoos and samurai can get ornaments on their helms.

Personally I think this game has some great potential and I'll be purchasing it day one.

not bad, sounds like they put a bit more effort into the game overall than what i assumed. especially you choosing some chick with a polearm. thought it would literally be 3 factions, everything in 1 faction is the same apart from visuals. so this is sounding quite good imo. also keen to try out the 2v2 game mode, s--- soinds like itd get hectic fast

I'm gonna go ahead & call myself the 1 v 1 god. Literally on a tear in this game when I go one on one. Orochi is a beast!
