Jun 4, 2016 Gibbs was arrested in France for a r--- that allegedly took place in Austria last year. Apparently he's going to be extradited today/soon. Based on his Twitter it looks like he's been aware of a warrant for him in Austria; I don't know enough about EU law to know whether French officials having the authority to book him is unusual. http://www.factmag.com/2016/06/04/freddie-gibbs-arrested-in-france-for-alleged-r----in-austria/ I know Gibbs a little bit, and especially since his daughter's birth he's been one of the most level-headed, empathetic people I know, despite the image people might have based on his music. I hope this isn't true, but as we know, every person accused of r--- has acquaintances who say that.

It's not particularly unusual for people who have warrants out for them in EU countries to be booked in other EU countries, but they're usually handed over to the country with the warrant after. If he's being arbitrarily held in France that's pretty weird

Jun 4, 2016 Man that sucks. It's a touchy subject because it's an allegation that's so hard to prove beyond a doubt, but at the same time you need to be sensitive to women who come out. On the flip, there have been a number of women who have falsely accused men of r--- and have gotten away with it. Very tough situation to deal with.
Jun 4, 2016 I mean, not really--not a statistically significant number. If this is a wrongful charge it's more likely leverage to out someone else. Women almost never bring false r--- charges against men.
