May 7, 2016 The Red Bull Music Academy is known for making some of the best interviews, with amazing guests, and today was no exception. During a live interview with the Red Bull Music Academy today, Madlib announced that he’s working on his second collaboration album with Freddie Gibbs, titled Bandana. The incredible duo put out their first collaborative album, Piñata, in 2014. The album received critical acclaim, leaving fans of the artists and music wanting more. Freddie Gibbs and Madlib have both stated that they hoped to work together again on a project, and it looks like that is actually coming into fruition. Even though Madlib just announced this on the air, a release date wasn’t specified. However, Bandana will quickly become one of the most anticipated albums to come out. < link removed >
May 8, 2016 I really hope this doesn't take three years to come out, but they can take as long as they want to make the album if it ends up on par with Piñata.
May 8, 2016 I was late to the Pinata train but was blown away when I did finally hear it. Can't wait for this.
