the songs "direction and tone" is represented by future really well tho...the song isnt just "all hype" like you're trying to paint it out to be. its f---ing 7+ mins, has zaytoven jizzing all over the keys, its meant to be "turnt somber turnt" or whatever and what you just said shows that Future did that perfectly.

starts out happy go lucky, picks up tempo, shows emotions, drowns himself in the drank again etc

not really tho, its future's thing to not always be tangible right off the bat. i think his presence just invites you to actually listen to his verse closer, and that, to me, helps u see that its the best written part of the song

project wise i agree, 56 nights and beastmode are mad close to barter 6 (which i think is better than monster probably)

but output wise? thug's highs are obviously as great as futures, and if you're one to look into everything thats being released (which im trying to keep up with) then thug just wins solely off of the sheer number of leaked joints.

but i get that we're talking about projects, and future's definitely in the #1 spot at the moment.

that being said, thug's last 2 official projects were Tha Tour pt 1 (classic) and Barter 6 (low key classic)...so we'll see after Metro Thuggin, HiTunes, Slime Season, etc.

i jsut want to hear "again ft. guwop" bruh the snippets sound like SOTY material

It's certainly multi faceted and futures part does compliment the more subtle s--- zaytovens got going on, but it's still a song in which you get super hype and future comes on and all hype fades away for the two minutes. Therefore, despite it being in line with some of the beats nuances, it ruins the hype and momentum the song would have had otherwise.

travis hook is what u would expect. his verse is inconsequential. didnt even need to be on the song.

2 chainz is one side of the coin...

I think there's argument to be made for whether or not he fits on this song, but not that his verse should've been delivered differently...out of context its a great verse (I think it works in context as well)
