Jun 15, 2015 One thing that I thought would happen but didnt'... Spoiler So, Kevan and Pycelle live for another season? Varys should be in King's Landing not with Tyrion. I guess you can't top Jon Snow getting shanked.
Jun 15, 2015 Thought it was a little absurd that Martell, whatever that Dorne prince's name is, accepted that b---- back so easily just because she bent the knee. Seemed a little un-GOT-esque to trust her like that, her betraying him again so quickly is one of the least surprising things that's ever happened but i wasn't expecting her to murder Myrcella so well done i guess?
Jun 15, 2015 Like he said, she gave him granddaughters or whatever and was with the viper and all that jazz so he just assumed she was acting out of being hurt at his death (which she still is) that combined with the fact that he was trying to turn a new leaf for his city or whatever = short sightedness with that b---- (myrcella death was ruthlessss)
Jun 15, 2015 Spoiler cuz i forget how much they showed on the show vs the prophecy in the book Spoiler Dany the queen, ....Tyrion the strangler?
Jun 15, 2015 Spoiler did maggy specifically talk about a queen in the series? In the book she just talked about a "younger and more beautiful" if it's actually a queen, I agree that danny is the best bet (better than margaery), then maybe sansa? If it's not about a queen, it could be someone else, depending on how long we'd want to reach
Jun 15, 2015 Spoiler Maggy: Aye. Queen you shall be... until there comes another, younger and more beautiful, to cast you down and take all that you hold dear. That's what's in the book. A queen you shall be... until there comes another, younger and more beautiful" would indicate that she's talking about a queen... dat comma placement
Jun 15, 2015 I think it's open for more interpretations the way it's written, and it doesn't say specifically Spoiler another one, or another queen; cersei wasn't a queen at that time either. It might be about a queen but he might have also written it this way to make a good plot twist (generally prophecies in fantasy novels are quite vague). Loras has been called beautiful, so it might not even be about a woman (which I highly doubt). Maybe I'm reading too much into it though
Jun 16, 2015 The episode was very good in my opinion. Especially considering episode 10 is normally very laid back. In regards to the books vs the show, I think it just comes down to people who read the books expect the show (or movie) to be exactly like the books. And while that can be enjoyable in of itself, the best part about creating an adaptation is that you put your own ideas and spins into it, while still keeping it in the same world. I don't think it's fair to the show or the views / supporters to say any episode is bad because it deviates from the books. It should only be bad because of the content and integrity of the show. Book knowledge should augment the show, not cage it. That being said, I wish this season was longer.
Jun 16, 2015 Spoiler To my understanding, it's part of her training and is meant to heighten her other senses.
Jun 16, 2015 The Bran story line is caught up with the books, I think its better to put that whole s--- on pause rather than throw in some filler material. Next season is going to be pretty hectic: - Aftermath of the stabbing. Does Melisandre bring him back to life? Does his body get burned by the Watch, but his Targaryen blood cause his body to survive (assuming R+L=J is true). Where the f--- was Ghost? - Arya's loss of sight - Lannisters vs Martells, they have the prince as a hostage already - Cersei's revenge - Margaery trial - or if Cersei revenge comes first, maybe there will be no trial - Tyrion and Varys running Meereen - What happens with Daenerys a lot of khaledthink before next season starts, but if jon snow is dead then f--- this show I'm done
Jun 16, 2015 word this the one i seen too, it's well made. there's a lot of other things too "k--- the boy and let the man be born" - Maester Aemon and the fact that his night's watch oath finishes upon death the melisandre vision - "man then wolf then man again". Jon has stark blood in him, so he might be able to warg. idk, i'm still in denial. it can't end like this, jon was the last hope for the stark resurgence. unless a cripple warger and a blind arya can carry the load. oh, and rickon
