Jun 29, 2016 I'm not convinced she even had a plan tbh. Maybe tommen and marg were legitimately brain washed by the high sparrow?
Jun 29, 2016 Nah she wasn't she even told Olenna to leave Kings Landing. Tommen on the other hand was probably on their side
Jun 29, 2016 i know she told her to leave kings landing but that doesnt really tell me about margaerys plan to deal with the high sparrow
Jun 29, 2016 marg was not on sparrow's side, lmao. just look at how she yelled at him before they all died
Jun 29, 2016 yeh she yelled at him because she knew that something was wrong, it was the sparrows arrogance that killed all of them she was down the mutilation too
Jun 29, 2016 plus she slipped her grandmother that note a picture of a Rose, the symbol of house Tyrell, to let her know she was just playing them.
Jun 29, 2016 Then why didnt she try to stop the mutilation? Marg even tried to calm her father down when Mace was freaking out about it she only took issue with the mutilation after the fact "playing them" lol that worked out well for the tyrells didnt it
Jun 29, 2016 Maybe not "playing them" was the right word?, but to show her allegiance was still to House Tyrell, not the Sparrows. Marg knew what was going on, but those stupid sparrow f---s prevented her from leaving the Citadel.
Jun 29, 2016 if she really had some kind of plan, she wouldn't turn on the high sparrow after he showed mercy to her brother. she knew she had to ride it out
Jun 29, 2016 It sounds like the high sparrow didnt tell marg that he would be mutilated. She has a weird reaction to it initially and tries to comfort mace tyrell that its not a big deal. and then she gets annoyed about it afterwards. So i really have no idea what she was planning, but we'll never know
Jun 29, 2016 yeah, i mean there's a few ways to look at the marg situation, and there's really no way either of us are right unless we find out what marg was planning via olenna (which is doubtful since she only gave her a drawing of a rose) haha just sad that we all gotta wait 10 months for the next season
Jun 29, 2016 she didn't, Marg says " you mutilated him, you gave me your word" she got annoyed because the high Sparrow wouldn't let them leave after she realized something was up by Cersei and Tommin not being in attendance at the trial.
Jun 29, 2016 right, so that goes back to my original question as to why she didnt try to stop the mutilation and why she was telling mace tyrell that it wasnt a big deal that he was getting mutilated? She only took issue with it after it was done with "you gave me your word" clearly she didnt really care
Jun 29, 2016 I think she was just trying to calm him down so he wouldn't cause a huge scene, how would've she stopped it? the room with filled with the High Sparrows fanatic's, they would've taken her down in seconds.
