May 19, 2019 I still can’t find any f---s to give about that wheelchair a--- nerd bran wtf was this ending
May 19, 2019 I think last episode was Top 5 in the series. That said- the finale was embarrassingly bad. Just.. Wow.
May 20, 2019 Finale was trash. Show had some great moments and S1-4 were fire. D&D are off to ruin Star Wars now. RIP
May 20, 2019 I enjoyed it. Probably the weakest season of the show mostly due to pacing and obviously got nothing on the first few seasons but still dope, still entertaining. Too early to say but probably not touching The Wire, Sopranos, Breaking Bad. But godamn it came close. Does anyone know the actual reason why these last 2 seasons were so rushed?
May 20, 2019 We were promised a bittersweet ending. But this was more bitter than anything. The only good thing that came of it is the new small council and the new age of democracy in Westeros. >Jon deserved better. After everything he's been through, after everything that was revealed about him. It's almost as if his whole heritage didn't even matter. He was the song of Ice and Fire and they send to the wall with Tormund and Ghost lmao. I know Jon becoming King would've been really cliche, but if not - then what was the point of the big reveal and all the build up since Season 6? >Daenerys deserved better, if they wanted her death to make sense they should have dragged it out and made her be even more insane. "They don't get to choose" is what pushed Jon to k--- her? Really? You could see that she truly thought she was doing the right thing. >Sansa demanding independence from the Seven Kingdoms when her brother, literally a f---ing Stark rules over the Seven Kingdoms. Girl, it's winter and there's no telling how long the winter will last. Your kingdom is a barren wasteland covered in snow and frost, you don't even know if everyone has enough food to survive the winter and you want independence from the kingdoms that your own brother rules because you want to be Queen and need an epic montage of people raising their swords and chanting "queen in the north"? f--- off Sansa. >Bran literally has no emotion, he's barely human at this point and they chose him as their King because he knows the history of mankind by heart? He's basically a symbol of the people with no real power at this point. Tyrion is going to rule the Kingdoms with his small council and Bran is just gonna wave his hand and come to events and shake people's hands ... He's basically the queen of England and Tyrion is the Prime Minister.
May 20, 2019 1. Last two seasons were based on A Dream of Spring (aka the 7th book) which has very few pages actually written and just a rough outline of how GRRM wanted to end it. 2. D&D s--- s--- at writing without source material (As a side note, the reason season 5 wasn't that great was because it was based upon the worst portion of the source material and has the most storylines made up by D&D. The reason season 6 is good is because it's based upon a book that, while hasn't been released yet, has lots of pages written for them to go off of). 3. D&D wanted to wrap it up so they could go get their Star Wars bag. HBO essentially gave them a blank check and wanted to do two full length seasons.
May 20, 2019 Anyway, like I've said before: I'm not even mad at the key plot points of the episode, they just don't feel earned because of the rushed pace. Like there's almost literally an entire season's worth of ideas smushed into a single episode here lol.
May 20, 2019 so, yeah - azor ahai's prophetic return did not happen - jon being a targaryen did... not really matter - the green eyes prophecy didn't work out etc etc etc
