His issue has never been in reinventing himself as he does it all the time (with varying degrees of success), his issue has been modernizing himself to stay relevant. May 10, 2017 I still remember playing The Eminem Show on my Walkman in summer of 02 I was in second grade. Stanned him while I was growing up. So many people grew up listening to Eminem it'd be like hating on your favorite cartoon show you watched growing up as a kid because its lack of something that doesn't fit with current societal ideologies. That's just unfair if you ask me. Once he dropped Recovery I lost a lot of interest though tbh. I go back now to listen to the greatest enunciation i've ever heard in hip hop. Hate his new flow, hated Recovery, hated mmlp2. Everything Relapse and before that will always remain goat though. His freestyles from the 90's and early 00's are too good to hate on as well.
May 10, 2017 Well, i feel you. But that changed some time ago . I was just finishing listening to MBDTF , and then i was like ...'' Men... Im finna go listen to some eminem, just for the nostalgia'' And then i was blown away... The thing is that eminem is so different from the other rappers, kdot, kanye, jcole... His songs are pure raw , and more aggressive than everything else . Thats why people still listen to eminem .

There's something about his music you almost can't get anywhere else ( I don't know what that 'something' is) and believe me even though Em introduced me to rap ( no I'm not white, I just hated rap initially) I've listened to tons of rappers, I like ANYTHING that sounds great even mumble rap, but I always end up coming back to listen to Em.
May 11, 2017 Eminem is a living legend, people grew up listening to him and he's still releasing music, s-----y or not it will always be exciting to listen to new Em. I don't really understand why does it bother some people I don't listen to his music no more but I'll be excited af when new album comes and you've never been a fan if you all you can get from his music is stuff like "The homophobia, the mysogony, the corny outdated references..."

May 11, 2017 Never understand how people get upset that people like music that they don't lol. I still listen to him in 2017, brings back good memories. Same with Kanye's earlier work, Kendrick, Nas, Pac. Then I go back to ASAP, Schoolboy Q, Kendrick, Joey Bada$$. Music is subjective, there is a reason why in 2017 he is in the top 5 most streamed rappers. I don't get how people can listen to a Future project from start to finish but it doesn't trigger me, everyone has a different taste.
