Dec 28, 2015 Yup. I really like IYRT and play it often, but I agree with his comments on it from his FADER interview. “It was like an offering—that’s what it was. It was just an offering. I just wanted you to have something to start the year off. I wanted to be the first one. I wanted to set it off properly. By the standard I hold myself and 40 to, it’s a bit broken,” he says. There’s corners cut, in the sense of fluidity and song transition, and just things that we spend weeks and months on that make our albums what they are.”
Dec 28, 2015 drake hasn't done anything to be considered one of the ten best rappers working right now. get outta here.
Dec 28, 2015 oat? I He'll never get there imo. Top 15-20? Sure thing once he puts out his best effort and it marinates for a while. I'd argue to place him in the top 10 someday though.
Dec 28, 2015 Yeah idk, he calls it a mixtape so I just go with that. Regardless, 5 really good-great projects is a nice start, but he's gotta do more to be in the top 10 conversation.
Dec 28, 2015 Says someone with a Lloyd Banks avy.. I mean how can someone be as big as Drake and not be top 50? He just needs a classic to be cemented. Doesnt mean the guy isnt one of the most versatile and talented artists the game has seen.
Dec 29, 2015 Not even close bro.....He has miles and lightyears to go until he even reaches the "above average" status. /thread.
Dec 29, 2015 Absolutely not. People throw the term 'all time' around too easily or just for the sake of it as if it means 'right now'. All time is f---in decades in rap. Even rappers active in the last 5 years I could name ten better. Success doesn't equal greatness in this category.
