Nov 24, 2015 Jay Z's validity hasn't taken much of a hit even though he's been accused of ghostwriters before.
Nov 24, 2015 srs question, what was the last song ye produced? cause I'm far as concerned, he doesn't even produce by himself anymore..from what I remember, most of yeezus was daft punk and rubin right?
Nov 24, 2015 Yeah but.... This idea that if you're a producer/rapper, it's okay if you don't write every single one of your lyrics but if you're strictly a rapper, it's forbidden, doesn't really make sense. It doesn't really hold up either. For instance, Eminem is a producer/rapper, I know for a fact he hasn't written every single lyric in his career but say some star artist called him out on it, you don't think he'd receive backlash as well?
Nov 24, 2015 He produced "Tell Your Friends" by the Weeknd I know for sure. And I think he produced some song on Rodeo. Outside of that idk.
Nov 24, 2015 here's the way I see it eminem is very very lucky his first three albums were so good because he is 100% incapable of making music like that again. but just off the strength of those first albums, he's still somewhat respected the situation with kanye is exactly the same except it extends past 3 albums, pretty much straight up to Yeezus. no matter what kanye does at this point, he's virtually untouchable drake has been hit or (slight) miss throughout his whole career imo so other than take care, it's not like he's built up a huge repertoire to fall back on when s--- hits the fan. he doesn't have what eminem or kanye has, that's why his future from here on out is SO important I think he's in a very comfortable place musically rn though. very strategic, thinks quickly on his feet and cranks out diss tracks like back to back with ease in just days. he possesses the skill to tack on more classics, something the two former artists I'm afraid cant quite do anymore Spoiler dont s---t me tho, obviously we know almost nothing about Ye..just a hunch
Nov 24, 2015 Can honestly say the only people truly getting their panties in a twist over the qm situation are forum users
Nov 24, 2015 And I don't mean forum users derogatorily, it's just that we're more inclined to nitpick and be phaux-critics than the general public
Nov 24, 2015 I guess technically speaking, Miller wasn't credited for the Rico verse but like what was Drake supposed to say? "Aye, here's that verse and can you make sure to give Q. Miller writing creds too?" lol like seriously... Clearly Meek had no problems with the verse prior to him finding out about Q. Miller. The song was put on his album for a reason. The funny part is that Meek uses the same flow as Miller did on the reference track.
Nov 24, 2015 If you hear any of the ghost songs he took barely anything from them. To answer you.. no hes still the goat
