    When macklemore is on his game he's really good, he has some amazingly creative tracks, otherside, at the party, wing$, american, life is cinema, Jimmy Iovine, etc, he can sometimes come off as kind of gimmicky and insincere,

    But honestly most his hate just comes from people who cant stand his corniness, or just dont like seeing a white rapper with pop influences on top of the charts, thrift shop is also stupidly overhated, it is a pretty d--- clever song at least...

    I honestly feel like a lot of the hate just comes from the fact that he beat Kendrick at the Grammys

    He has some good tracks though, his VS EP is okay, 10000 Hours, Make The Money, White Walls (feat. ScHoolboy Q), Jimmy Iovine (feat. Ab-Soul) & Victory Lap. all good tracks and not that corny.

    I don't hate Macklemore, although I'm not crazy about his current fanbase and his really, Pop-oriented sound since V.S. / The Heist. I've known about him for about 7-8 years now and I've seen him live (as an opening act) about 5 years ago. I'm glad for his success, he has worked hard for it. People think he's some overnight success story but he's been touring and building that fanbase for years. And unlike Iggy, he's a true Hip Hop head. His current fanbase might not know much or care about Hip Hop but he knows the origins and cares more about the culture than a lot of popular rappers that are out now.

    Yeah, I hate him for not releasing new material since 2012. He is talented and got some real good songs.

    I don't hate him but I don't listen to his music. just not appealing to me.

    but it pisses me off that he got a grammy only because of the subject matter of one song. even worse that kendrick lost to it.
