Haven't voted in the two presidential elections I've been allowed to and haven't voted for anything local either. I just don't really exist in that world. I'm 100% ignorant to anything regarding politics. My dad and brother will talk politics all the time and whatever dumbass s--- Trump did on a given day and i just have no idea what they're even talking about. Most people look down on people who don't vote, but it doesn't bother me at all. My dad's favorite line is, "If didn't vote then you can't complain." Like that makes any issue/solution I bring up automatically irrelevant lol.

Yeah I knew the White House was built by slaves. That's a shame when you really think about it and how it's not brought up more to the public.

I'm mostly talking about the engineering behind buildings that took carpentry and masonry skill. I remember reading at one time it was hard finding skilled slaves that could do carpentry and masonry work. I just wouldn't really count slaves building the majority of America whenever they weren't actually building popular buildings, bridges back then. You couldn't just throw a slave who was never educated in a trade into building city buildings and bridges whenever they have to be professional built. However, I know over time many were trained and a lot of black men did help carry wood, blocks to the workers but saying slaves single handely built America is over exaggerating.

Slaves did create the majority of building material needed for buildings until more advanced technology was made to help make wood and other building materials.

Also slaves did pretty much single handedly build rail roads. They actually ran some too. Slaves built Wall Street from what I read too, but idk how legit the article is but seemed convincing.
