I really like it, fits the MMLP2 theme perfectly..


Eminem's voice sounds like Eminem, and he actually flows smoothly and has very emotional moments.

The only bad thing about it is that Vietnam line.

I think Lose Yourself even has flaws. It doesn't make it less GOAT

I was playing MMLP2 when first it dropped loudly, then my homie came in from the next room, told me to replay the song, and he loved it a lot.

Katy Perry tweeted about it too being emotional.

I think whenever critics try to focus on each line, ofcourse they can stretch it and say *cringe*, for any artist,,, the important thing is the big meaning and overall flows, lyrics, and delivery

Not a 10/10 song. I'm a huge Stan and this is painfully obvious he could have done this song far better than it was. He should've done the chorus. He should have added another verse and actually flowed better. I give it a 7/10.

I remember when MMLP2 leaked and before I heard the album I saw Koolo's thread titled something like "HEADLIGHTS IS EMINEM'S GREATEST SONG EVER", which made me anxious to hear it so I couldn't enjoy the album in order and I had to skip right onto it.

It's a decent song but I feel like it could have been better. It shouldn't have been a song where he focuses on rhymes.

Sometimes a song can be 10/10 without needing a 10/10 rating. I for example wouldnt rate it 10/10 or call it flawless but I absolutely love it and can find no fault in it.

When I first heard it, I was impressed because he was actually making a song apologizing to his mother. It really shocked me.

However, after that wore off, I started realizing it was a really poorly written and executed song.

No h--- but I actually got all emotional when I first heard this song. An amazing way to end the years of hate towards the person who raised him. Perfectly done.

Then I saw the Zane Lowe interview on Radio 1 where he admitted he was told to do the song by he record label and you could see how much he didn't give a s--- about it. I gave up at that point because the emotion and the topic is bs.

Plus the video is s---. The first real f--- up in Spike Lee's career.

Agree w/ 1st paragraph

but if he really said this s---, then I wouldn't feel the same.

Also the Music video was great, shows you the story in Debbie perspective, while Em is rapping from his perspective (genuis) , also it is well recorded, I liked the cigs and drinking juice part, mistaking Em in public, writing mails, getting rejected in front of the mansion...

it's good s--- and Spike Lee delivered

The only complaint is Em appearing in one scene only, I doubt it took him +10 mins to film

Very low standard on what 'perfect' is
