Nov 1, 2016 Locked in Mariah's wine cellar all I had for lunch was bread wine more bread wine and Captain Crunch, red wine for breakfast and for lunch and to soak it up in between snacks, crackers to munch And say what you want about We Made You, it reminds me of summer 2009. Good times.
Nov 1, 2016 it wasn't Em best work but I actually prefer Relapse (accent Eminem) over Recovery (shouting Eminem)
Nov 1, 2016 I'm always embarrassed to admit but overall relapse is definitely dope. Obviously a few 0/10 tracks content wise. I still stand by opinion though that relapse is the best produced album of all time next to chronic 2001. Come at me.
Nov 1, 2016 "These days, getting word of a new Eminem song makes you excited and fearful all at once. You know you’ll get some of the most dizzying rhyme schemes ever, in a way that only Eminem is capable of doing. But there’s a blatant disregard for the music behind it: he sounds like he’s senselessly cramming syllables instead of making songs." Couldnt have said it better..
Nov 2, 2016 lol we not talking about Rebirth here, just an average album with dope a--- production and great rhymes.
Nov 2, 2016 Takes me back to the morning We Made You came out, and I ripped it onto my iPod and listened to it on the way to one of my college classes.
Nov 2, 2016 I found We Made You by randomly going to eminem.com one day around the time it released. from what I remember the site either had a link to the video or the site was just the video. I didn't hear "I'm Having a Relapse" until after We Made You
Nov 2, 2016 Back when his IMDb page was active, I recall seeing thread titled something like "LOL We Made You sucks".
Nov 3, 2016 this album is his fourth best album after MMLP/TES/SSLP concept is fully mastered rhyming is stellar (3AM, Stay Wide Awake) lyrical pictures are incredible (insane, same song and dance) Very deep tracks (deja vu, Beautiful) Beats are very dope you can't hate on this album. has anyone ever tried to pitch down em's voice to remove the accent on the album?
Nov 3, 2016 quick google search and found this on the internet " Download the Audacity software for free, install and open any song from Recovery, h--- the Sequel, etc. then go to the "effect" menu option, choose "change pitch" and raise the pitch of the song 0.75 semitones. This will give you the pitch of Eminem's voice from around 2002 before drugs and age deepened it, without having a chipmunk effect. In fact, the difference in pitch of the song is hardly noticeable but his voice sounds considerably different. Have fun! Edit: You can also play with this further and slow Infinite down to hear his SSLP voice pitch, etc. Its not 100% accurate but it helps to debunk those who say Eminem was "replaced." His voice just deepened over time, that's all. Anyways heres what you do: Same song and dance (-0.75+-0.25 semi tones) http://picosong.com/5NXb/ Hello: http://picosong.com/5NX5/" if anyone cares to do it ^^
Nov 4, 2016 Hey fam So the idea was to make Relapse the best experience it could/should have been. I edited all the tracks pitch & treble to remove the annoying voice and a part of the accent on relapse. Result is subtle, but voice sounds a bit more natural and mature. Everything being exactly the same music wise and changing pitch doesn't affect the fact it sounds like Eminem, so you have to play the OG track back to back to actually hear the difference because the new songs really feels normal. Most obvious ones are Same Song & Dance and Hello (also 3am, music box and buffalo bill) Then I re-sequenced and re imagined and re organized the theme and concept I know some of you doesn't care, and will try to say it's whack, I have no problem with it; for those interested, I'll find a way to give you a link or give you the technical instructions to reproduced it by yourself on audacity* Starts with a discussion with Dr. West, turning into shady through My Darling. When the transformation is complete, he wakes up murdering everyone in the rehab center during 3am . he then escape, and plot to kidnap girls while he Stay Wide Awake, finds Tonya, and plays with her in Same Song & Dance with a Music Box. He finally brutally kills her like Buffalo Bill. That basically ends this section and flashes back to him arriving at the Rehab center, through a Skit called Rehab which is the intro to the When I'm Gone Video. Eminem is about to confess and open his heart on his story and how he became an addict. He introduced himself in Hello, and reintroduces himself in Underground painting a vivid picture on his current state. The Skit at the end of the song encourages him to testify more. Its started very young, with his Step Dad on Insane, then as a kid with his Mom and as an adult with Mariah in what felt like a Baghdad psychological war zone. He juggles with going back to drugs periodically like what Must Be Ganja, and trying to recover with Medicine Balls. The ups and downs hits new low, when he almost died, he remembers in Mr Mathers Skit. It follows by the sad story of Deja Vu. He wants to finish his intervention with a positive and Beautiful message and a retrospect on his whole life with a warning and a lesson : Careful What You Wish For At this point the album can start again and it's a loop.
