Oct 15, 2016 Thats what Joe Budden said a few months ago, the kid already has the best discography since Kanye. Would be crazy if he was to drop another great project
Oct 15, 2016 Everyone includes Infinite when talking about Eminem's discography, it is always ranked among his other projects in most lists out there.
Oct 15, 2016 Mixtapes are often not taken into consideration, mostly because they used to be free music for fans, they were never meant to represent the rapper's best effort. Times have definitely changed a rappers are now trying their best on their mixtapes, but I still don't take them into account when discussing a rapper's catalog.
Oct 15, 2016 Well that's not his actual discography, lmao @ cult classic and none of those are tapes. He isn't 4/4 unless you ask a stan.
Oct 15, 2016 I wouldn't say everyone does at all..how many times do people constantly refer to "the start of Eminem's career" "Eminem was perfect" etc etc They are talking about his 3 good albums no one ever says "yeah man those three were good, but after Infinite! no. 'old Em' was the great one.
Oct 15, 2016 lol no, Eminem is my favorite rapper of all time and I have yet to listen to infinite (will never happen though, it's not part of his discography)
Oct 15, 2016 Kendrick himself said kdot shouldn't be compared to kendrick...kdot was basically him trying to find himself.
Oct 15, 2016 What about Wayne's mixtapes or Gucci's? They are a part of their discography and just because they have less direction does not mean that they can't be amazing for what they were and Kendrick's are trash even by mixtape standards.
Oct 15, 2016 the point is, you said everyone ignores his beginnings as an exception and dont do it for anyone else...when in fact I just thought of Infinite off the top of my head and there are guaranteed more artists whose beginning projects are ignored because they weren't their 'true' selves until later on in their music careers example....if a full Kanye mixtape leaked today from back before he became anywhere near as good as he is now and it s----d you think people would say "welp, Kanye's discog isn't perfect anymore"? of course not
Oct 15, 2016 They are the same person it's irrelevant. I'm pretty sure Kanye was still trying to find himself when 808S was released and his mother died. But we still count every project he's released to be a part of his discography.
Oct 15, 2016 HHDX recently wrote an article about kendrick's flawless discography, and it included both EP and O.D. and OD made it on pitchfork's best mixtapes list. So even if we were to take that s--- into account, then kendrick discography would be even better
Oct 15, 2016 and Eminem released Infinite by himself....and 99% of stans/fans/contemporaries would agree that it is irrelevant and completely not indicative of his career
