I think you're misunderstanding what I'm saying, I didn't mean Drake didn't make hits until 2015. He had a steady stream of hits every year since Best I Ever Had, but he didn't reach his true potential as a hit-maker until the rules changed in terms of how billboard charts counted streams. It wasn't until every song on IYRTITL charted that his potential as a hitmaker of THAT stature truly shown. It was unheard of at that point. And then he did it again with Views. Drake was a hit-maker as long as he's been around in the mainstream, but that was when he reached true pop star status. Also Lil Wayne released rebirth in 2010...

MBDTF is 100% that revered in rap and I dunno where you're getting that from. I'm not denying Drake's popularity in 2011 with Take Care, but that came at the very end of the year and Kanye was unavoidable starting with good fridays and ending wth NIP. I'm unsure where you're getting the notion that Kanye wasn't massively popular during that era.

Even though I think 2 chainz is a WAY better rapper in 2016-2017 than he was back then, if we're going off popularity, he was the most sought-after feature in 2012. He was everywhere.

But that's just simply saying Drake was bigger later on. I'm not really disputing that. U made it seem like his hits weren't that noteworthy or hot until later on which isn't the case. The Drake every1 knows is 2011 Drake.

And no it isn't but even if it was, that didn't make him hotter than Wayne. Bottom line is who do you think every1 was hoping would drop a project in 2010. Wayne after No Ceilings or Kanye after 808s. The answer is easily Wayne. Kanye was hot, which is not what I'm saying. I'm saying he wasn't the hottest.

As a feature artist, sure. But the dude couldn't even go platinum in 2012. How was he hotter than Kendrick, Drake, Kanye, or anyone else. Rocky was hotter in 2012 than Chainz.

Jay should have a mention at least one year though, and 06 for Ye is the worst year to pick him

shoulda picked 2010 or 2011 for Ye
