Oct 10, 2015 idk all the US laws but it's mind boggling to me that people are allowed to walk the streets with guns. I saw a video of some guy walking around with this huge a--- gun strapped to his back.
Oct 10, 2015 Regardless of what you think of Obama, I think his speech the day of the Roseburg shootings pretty much nailed it. We can't pinpoint who's a psycho and who isn't very easily all the time so the only solution is to make it tougher for normal people to get guns, cuz right now it's way too easy. It won't completely stop the problem but it should help, at the very least it's worth a try for something this serious. Another thing that'd help is not giving the killer so much media attention every time after it happens, but that will never happen unfortunately. They should just report the news and what happened, maybe even say the killer's name or show his photo but don't dig into his whole life and make him a huge story for weeks afterwords. I wish they'd limit that a bit. Mental health care in the US is very poor too and I wish something could be done to improve that not only to prevent situations like this but in general too.
Oct 10, 2015 the american media outlets the other week were on about how australians have no freedom because of strict gun laws and a few other things. i have a few problems with all these mass shootings and the comments made about australia. firstly, how can you say australias gun laws havent worked when a few decades ago there was a mass shooting and that sparked most guns into being destroyed and not letting the average joe to carry a gun. ever since then there has been very few cases of shootings in australia. secondly, how can you say americas gun laws are working? the rest of the world have to hear every month that some emotionally unstable twat with a gun has decided to s---t a load of people. its ridiculous. just ban the fking guns. and this will solve 2 problems if implemented, because the american police force wont have to act so violently to overcome the general public therefore the american police should calm down. im so sick of seeing those horrible mass shooting reports, when will americans learn their way is not always the best way.

Oct 10, 2015 Also this problem is associated with mental health of these people rather than guns. On the other hand only solution I can think of is gun control, but I'm not resident of United States to elaborate on that particular topic. It's simple as that.
Oct 10, 2015 Man, as much as I hate these school shooters and definitely want something done about it, I always think about this incident that happened to my dad. He was walking through an "unsafe" street that night and two people came up to him and pulled a knife on em. If it wasn't for his gun, I doubt he'd even be alive right now.....so, eh I'm kinda torn on it.
