Feb 25, 2016 Shady Records as a label. Glass House has pretty much faded into oblivion at this point. I bet by years end SH will be disbanded. All the artists seem to be going in different directions creatively. I'm (barely) hoping for at least a firm single and/or music video by the end of summer.. or something?? Yela is very heavily independent via Slumerican with the exception of: Album/Merch distribution, some studio time (I can imagine), some creative input and all the behind the scenes music business, and maybe some major bookings. So sometime's it's not like he's on their roster. I don't think BME will drop anything major anytime soon so I'm not counting them rn. D12.. well, you know. And we all know they are WOAT at promotion. What has the label got to run on these days besides Em? How much longer do you think the label will last? Will they try to reinvent themselves once again like they did with Shady 2.0? What do you think? Side note: It's got to be fun as f--- being an employee or an intern there because you probably do next to nothing all day, depending on your role. Just my opinion.
Feb 25, 2016 im pretty sure they will find some more younger talent to add to the roster soon, they lost their chance to do so with logic a few years ago.,,
Feb 25, 2016 they released in 2015 Yelawolf's album and soundtrack. they will release in 2016 Slaughterhouse's album.
Feb 25, 2016 Actually the label was pretty active the last 2 years with the XV, soundtrack, and yela But unfortunately as long as they re under interscope's umbrella, not many artists have future in shady. Same think that happened to aftermath the past decade. Only 50 and Em
Feb 25, 2016 What they got to do, is get some young lings up in there. That's something lots of companies need to do. I mean I love Slaughterhouse and Yela but there old and there never going to hit mainstream. Yela is more likely to do that, but you actually has to promote him.
Feb 27, 2016 Eminem needs to surround himself with some younger talent. Slaughterhouse changed him for the worse imo, trying to be so technical. He needs to return to the laid back flow and delivery.
Feb 27, 2016 They signed Yela at a golden time, during the whole Trunk Muzik phase. But for whatever reason they didn't really capitalise on it. Props to Yela for delivering second time around with Love Story and actually creating something that he was passionate about. I suppose in a way, props to Shady for letting him. Hopefully Slaughterhouse have done the same thing second time around. Would love to see the label being active as f--- and delivering quality stuff. I mean it's EMINEM'S label for f--- sake, like this is literally all Eminem does and they're the least active f---ers around.
Feb 27, 2016 Em's rich and the label probably makes enough to stay afloat. Yela, D12 and SLH won't take off. But he'll prob make Shady 3.0 at some point.
