Jul 13, 2018 This is true. I think sometimes reviews are about context etc too much. For sure, the context and background are essentials for a good review. But sometimes, after reading a review I'm like.. okay, but what did you think about the album?? I do have an example actually. It's not an actual review of course but that thing @Swizz and @WPG did with Watch The Throne was something I really liked! They both gave their thoughts on every song, which was almost all about the music. Again it was totally different than an article but that kind of 'review' is what makes me more or less excited about listening to something. The actual write ups are mostly just to help me see or hear things I wouldn't have otherwise and look at it from different perspectives.
