    Its basic audio engineering lol

    You break the immersion, because you remove a significant portion of thefrequency range that stimulates the ear at all times. Theres always white noise wherever you go

    its like a hole in the soundscape

    i guess lol

    just doesn't seem necessary at all imo. i've never noticed this supposed immersion break, and i can't seem to find anything that speaks to the necessity of keeping extra unused freqs in there either so

    no its just a question, your opinion and how you want to work on your art is one thing, but professional standards is a different scenario

    if it was a 20khz shelf i mightve agreed that its not that important, but a 16khz shelf is INSANE

    this is garbage holy f--- it literally clears out a quarter of the spectrum
