Dec 19, 2018 think the collector's edition would have people give people a different perspective altogether, as well. It helps it feel less stripped down, as well. But more importantly, the space from TPAB is a lot more important. Because going into it, we all had expectations in some way. And some people feel like it didn't live up, considering even the d--- b-sides to TPAB was a hit album. When I first heard d---., I only really liked maybe 3 songs. As in really loved them. Pride, ---, and maybe Humble. The others just didn't click. Humble was really catchy and all, and the video was amazing, but the song itself just felt off some days. But listening to the album now, it's a lot different of an experience. And I really think people are going to look back positively on it. Maybe think of it as a underrated piece, etc. Besides time, though, I sincerely think the Collector's Edition is just drastically better. Those little samples and tidbits really added to songs.
Dec 21, 2018 d---. will always be one of my fav albums as it came out the week my daughter was born. I remember just playing it non stop. 1.5 years later I still love re-visiting the album. You could argue if it's a classic or not (I say near classic). Kendrick is on one of them GOAT rolls like ATCQ, De La Soul, Outkast. Dropping straight fire every project.
Dec 21, 2018 Definitely a classic. It's one of the most listened albums ever by myself (I'm guessing but still.)
