    I didn't even say that lol , I said if he wasn't in movies rn(its what has kept his popularity) , he wouldn't be ranked as high as he is .
    Honestly , compare him objectively to other MC's and you can name 20 that are better than him imo.



    How isn't Pac abstract? Apart from him rushing most of his lyrics , Pac is viewed as an abstract person . Read his book if you don't think Pac is abstract lol

    My point is though that there are plenty of better lyricists than Cube and plenty of rappers who have an overall better skill set than Cube(discography compensates 70% of skill set when i'm making an opinion on a rap artist)

    but my point was that being a good lyricist wasn't what his music was about, he was about the message and deliver mostly

    But when your comparing MC's to each other , you have to count each skill set combined
    When im judging Cube as a lyricist , im judging how good his poetry is lol because I agree with the rappers that say "Rap is poetry"
    I'm not judging on rhyme scheme or technical because thats a different skill

    If you want to compare Cube to a top 15 rapper

    Cube vs BT ? Cube vs Talib ? Cube vs Mos Def ? Who Wins ?

    But thats YOUR take on what makes a rapper good, I don't compare poetry, some of the best rappers ever didn't have deep lyrics or complexity in their rhyme aka pac, em, jay and so on. Im judging a rapper by what he's trying to do.
    Some people prefer straight straightforward lyrics and aggressive delivery over abstract lyrics complexity you know
