Jan 9, 2016 I interpret "greatest rapper" as 'greatest rap artist', which would include rapping, production, consistency, all of it. In that case, Kanye is the GOAT to me. Dude's worst album is Graduation (debatable, I know)..like, d--- dude. If Swish is on the level of the rest of his discog then man..gunna be hard for anyone to catch him. Now if "greatest rapper" literally means just pure rapping ability, nah Kanye definitely isn't the best. Also, to go back to the Kendrick debate, are people really placing him with the GOATs already? C'mon now.
Jan 9, 2016 Can we just stop calling Kanye a 'rapper', he isn't. Even in his best albums he has as many bad lines as em has on encore or MMLP2. As far as a rap artist, i think Dre has the title for all the music he has contributed and all the influence he has had since the 80s. And yes, maybe kanye has the more consistent discography (debatable), but that doesn't mean he is the best, Kendrick has 3 classics now and his worst album is better than the worst of Ye, so technically he is even MORE consistent, and he IS a better rapper, that means he is BETTER? NO...I really doubt you all had listened to complete discographies of every artist you say you have ever listened to...i can say Em is my FAVOURITE, but i know he ISN'T the BEST, why can't Kanye stans do the same?
