Nov 9, 2015 as much as i like all day and only one, there's nothing to suggest this will be remotely close to 808s. all signs point to him finally slowing down.
Nov 9, 2015 This was an old topic that got bumped (and also 808s has gone up in my Ye album ranking since then)...so I agree at this point. Still have confidence it will be good, but I'd be happy with anything on par with Graduation.
Nov 9, 2015 my bad. didn't see the dates. regardless, i have the unshakeable feeling that this might be it for kanye. hope i'm wrong.
Nov 9, 2015 Curious what makes you think that, since you admit you love Only One and All Day. What else is there to go off of, really? tbh I'm tired of waiting for this, my hype is completely dead because of all of the delays. But I expect that to change once a release actually seems imminent
Nov 9, 2015 @Koolo nah i meant this might finally be the fall off well i should preface this by saying that this is all conjecture based off of what kanye has said/done this year. but he must have felt an album release was imminent when he did only one, fourfiveseconds, and all day in three months. he must have figured he didn't have enough songs for a good completed album, or that his then-completed album wasn't good enough. since then, it's been too light to inspire any confidence, and every time he speaks in public, he's talking about how slow he's taking it, how he doesn't want to build hype, etc etc. look at each of the last three albums: kanye locked himself somewhere (hawaii, hawaii again, paris) for an extended period of time and knocked out the record. it had a specific driving aesthetic. it doesn't seem kanye's done anything resembling that since that weekend in mexico in 2014. the guy's expecting a second kid so i'm not begrudging him for staying home instead of holing up in amsterdam to make beats, lol. he doesn't owe us anything, esp not on a schedule. but i worry that he's gonna go in the studio once a month and record one song that's presented to him by travis scott and post malone, and eventually he'll have twelve songs. this all could be the most negative view possible, and to be honest i won't be surprised if he puts out another masterpiece. i just have a bad gut feeling, worse than the skepticism i had before 808s or yeezus.
Nov 9, 2015 i dont blame anyone for not getting how good this is...you need to have a certain standard to get it
Nov 9, 2015 gorealsteady predictably misunderstanding my post i don't want vic mensa anywhere near a kanye album.
