Nov 27, 2017 There are people still catching up to it. I think it is personally. I also loved that whole roll-out and era. But not everybody did as much. I think by the end of it all that will be the album people look at as "the one". I don't think Butterfly is the only album to go through this kind of treatment. I'm really talking about an album that right off the bat everybody is like "This is the one. WOW." Like, there's no room for uncertainty.
Nov 27, 2017 Chance probably has the most eyes on him right now overall. I think once he starts his debut album rollout there will be a CRAZY amount of hype around it. He could drop a classic if he really locks in. He has a unique sound. Has the resources. His skills and creativity are there too. I wanna say he is the easiest pick for 'maybe' being the next one. I want Em to pull through, but the first single isn't doing so well. Hopefully the rest will blow people away and surpass expectations. Still my n----- Nasir left too. Hope he came with it even more on his album. Been hyped up for a while.
Nov 29, 2017 With the way things are I wouldnt hold your breath. I dont think we'll get another mainstream classic
Nov 29, 2017 how so..i said i dont think we will because of all the trash out right now and the only people who have given us classics (IMO) are dwindling. who should i be listening too
Nov 29, 2017 I agree. No classic dropped this year, last year, or the year before. Imma have to say Cole, Q, or Rocky's time is next
Nov 30, 2017 Real life frustrated me thinking about it. Like, d---. Putting all my faith into 2k18. Somebody gotta be in the chamber sitting on one right now.
Nov 30, 2017 i can think of 20+ classics off the top of the head easily slime season 1 and 2 Rich g--- the tour luv is rage 56 nights monster DS2 Run the jewels 1 and 2 Summertime 06 Control System Yeezus Cilvia demi Oxymoron acid rap --- AE Water 1999 TPAB Dream Chasers T & Y stop acting like we havnt been blessed this decade
Nov 30, 2017 There won't be another classic in hip hop and I think the main reason is tthese forums and s---. There are so many people right now talkin' about albums. The guy who has only listened few rap albums and a guy who has listened tons of rap albums can comment on an album and both of their opinions are counted. Back in the days, there was no random fans like us commentin' on albums like that. I mean think of Biggie's albums. They were considered classic by people but mainly critics and other rappers were saying it's classic. Similar goes with THe Eminem Show or MMLP too. If they were released after like 2006-07 they won't be undeniable classics. U said GKMC is a classic. I'll tell u there are people who s----s on it. Who thinks TPAB is a lpot better etc. Too many opinions. Back then, few rappers saying an album was classic made it classic. I don't know if I could made my point understandable.
