    @Mimi which album would you suggest to get into the maccabees? Their debut? I like this song

    Is This It is one of my go-to albums in sundays. Room On Fire is also fine (not as good though), I don't really listen to the rest.

    I'll check out the podcast when I have time, I enjoyed the first one MTY, you guys are fun to listen to

    To be honest I haven't fully listened to their second album, just a few songs but I love their debut album, so would def say give that a listen. Given to the Wild had a very different sound, a lot more mellow.

    Viet Cong is a really good Indie Rock band who released their debut album like this year, that is self titled. Also some SJW group protested and got them removed from a performance at a university because their name was some kind of, "trigger", to vietnam war vets, that i'm sure none of the SJW's have met. I love people these days.

    Viet Cong's album is one of my favourites so far. If you're interested, check out this thread, it has some good discussion / suggestions about other non-rap stuff from this year. No need to bump it now ofc, it'd be better if this thread could be more active since it's getting updated frequently.

    Been really busy lately and I'm just now noticing this thread. Great idea. I have a lot of catching up / discovering to do as far as non rap goes. First up will be the new Hot Chip.. didn't realize that was out already. In Our Heads was one of my favorite releases of 2012.

    I read a while back that Yeasayer was working on a new album. Anyone hear any updates on that? All three of their albums have been in steady rotation for me over the past five or six years.
