Nov 27, 2014 I'd say Drake. Wayne, Nicki and Drake are very popular at the moment because they make a lot of club s--- and a lot of hits. Eminem said, "It is not about lyrics anymore, it's about a hot beat and a catchy hook", and it's true.
Nov 27, 2014 I'd definitely say Drake is better than Eminem currently. Drake's been a lot more consistent lately.
Nov 27, 2014 I would say that Em still is, because he's been around longer and has remained higher in popularity and also because of the accolades and recognition he has gained not only musically but because of 8 Mile and his label affiliation. Despite all of that though, Eminem is still about rapping for the sake of rap and hip hop. He raps because it's what he does, and he doesn't (seem to) care about any of the glitzy & superfluous matters that can come with it. Can the same be said for the rest of those guys? Last year when MMLP 2 came out, at one point, Em had like all 4 singles (The Monster, Rap God, Berzerk, Survival) in the top 10 songs on iTunes list. Granted it was only for a brief period, but is there any other rap artist who could command that?
Nov 27, 2014 Drake is better than eminem now. Eminem in his prime cant be beaten though, but drake is one of the best artists in music today. Anyone who thinks otherwise hasnt listened to his music.
Nov 27, 2014 Drake makes way better music & albums than Eminem now. If you just want punchlines and crazy rhyming then Eminem's new music would be more enjoyable than Drake's, but overall Drake >>>> Eminem in the last few years
Nov 27, 2014 Drake makes far better music the last years, NWTS and especially Take Care are very good albums, easily better than any recent Em release. Also Drake has progressed a lot as an artist since his first tapes and has respectable skills as a rapper (5 AM In Toronto for example). He's not that new rapper who sung with autotune and made that soft fake music (at least that's what many hip hop heads used to say about him a few years ago).

Nov 27, 2014 People can say Eminem is never the same since ____ album. Can fill in the blank based on personal preference. The fact is whatever eminem drops, people will give it a listen. The fans will always hope for the new material to be as good as ____ album. Will it ever be as good, probably not. As much as I am a fan of Drizzy and any other rapper that is of quality. Until Eminem dies. No rapper can take his spot. Not even d-ck riding Eminem either.

I think a (recent) Eminem song is a marvellous display of technical ability, but when was the last time he made an album full of songs which had content worth listening to again? It ran dry with Eminem because he usually only spoke of his problems, where guys like Kendrick and Drake rap about issues relevant to their generations. As much as I love 50 Cent (and will forever stan him) the same thing is true for him too.
