Nov 19, 2015 m8 first of all how is being able to name EIGHTY artists better than drake, make saying that you think a 100 are better, a hyperbole? id say like if he could only think of like 20 he'd clearly be exaggerating, no? and im sure he could name more than a 100 lol. there are 100s of great rappers ive never even heard of lol. and not even in like an obscure as way...there have just been that many quality artists who've come and gone and a discussion like this, drake's popularity or hits dont really help him (and this type of comparison also isnt to take that away from him...its just to counter the unfounded praise his actually rapping gets) i think he's good. hes like cardboard to me sometimes tho. even when its super clear that he's trying to be emotive. his versatility is kind of a charade. he's not nearly as capable on the mic as people paint him to be, especially next to someone like thug, but that doesn't take away from what he can do. and songs like the ones you linked.
