    its not that simple, the competition was way harder back then, there was way more money involved in the business and the labels were producing really expansive singles and pushing it really hard. A number 4 in 2000 means way more than a number 3 in 2013 or number 1.

    its no wonder the super producers from the early 2000 are all gone, the money just isnt there to pay them anymore.

    I feel like Walk on Water isn't really a radio hit. He probably just wanted to drop some s--- that meant a lot to him and got Beyonce to help boost the numbers. Still, a weird song to release as the first single from an album.
