Feb 1, 2016 Dude if he didn't come out then half the songs wouldn't have made sense lol. It wasn't a publicity stunt. It was much needed information to fully understand the album.
Feb 1, 2016 The coming out thing wasn't major for me. What caught me for surprise was his lack of social media. No Instagram? No twitter? I would've expected one of those but whats making us lose our interest to him is no communication. We need information and him not giving it to us just makes us go insane with the need of new music.
Feb 1, 2016 It was a major publicity stunt. Take "Thining About You" for example: Over a year before the album dropped, the "Thinking About You" demo track leaked, and when the Internet questioned the suspect lyrics, miraculously Bridget Kelly came out and said it was a reference track to here first Roc Nation single (which then dropped, and caught a major brick). Fast forward a year and Frank released a finished version of the track as an album single after coming out.
Feb 1, 2016 Dude we're not even talking about Thinkin Bout You. Songs like Bad Religion and Forrest Gump were on the record, and we're pretty suggestive.
Feb 1, 2016 But were released after the big coming out. Fact is, "Thinking Bout You" came out before he came out; his team lied about it being a reference track once questions were raised. Why didn't he just come out at that time? Because it wouldn't have been beneficial to the release of his album.
Feb 1, 2016 Thinkin Bout You is an ambiguous song. It could be about anyone. Second, the songs about struggling with his sexuality that came on the album, like Bad Religion or Forrest Gump, could have been recorded in the year leading up to release. Who knows when he wanted to make it public?
