Oct 3, 2017 To this I have 1 retort, 1. stopped reading right here f--- off. That's not what I'm saying though? I'm saying for someone to be a terrorist they must have the motive to incite fear... I don't think this 60 yr old dude did. Honestly think he's a product of American media glorifying and plastering names/faces of mass shooters everywhere. i mean 60+ is kinda old, avg life expectancy is around 75, probably felt if he killed a couple people he'd be infamous before he dies. I think he was trying to gain attention, rather than incite violence.
Oct 3, 2017 every time i post my opinions in threads someone turns it into race Dylan Roof and Tomithy McVeigh are terrorists
Oct 3, 2017 Random act of violence wasn't a good way of wording what I meant but I'm sure you can still understand what I was trying to say. You make a compelling case At the end of the day I guess you're right, I'm preconditioned to seperate 'domestic terrorism' from often-religiously lead acts of motivated groups against a certain denomination because that's what has been at the forefront my entire life.
Oct 3, 2017 You view terrorists as this because that's what the media has engrained in us. I'm not trying to go all "sheeple" on you or talk s--- at all I promise, cuz that's how I viewed terrorism for a long time. but the only reason we make distinctions like these is because the media frames it like this.
Oct 3, 2017 just because it wasn't some people flying planes into buildings screaming "allahu akbar" while fox news tells you only brown people can commit terrorism doesn't mean it's not a terroristic act
Oct 3, 2017 Ignore my last post then haha. It's not just you like I said, I had that distinction as well. The media is controlling in one way or another no matter who you are.
Oct 3, 2017 ok but i rarely watch any media on tv/social shitmedia facebook whatever the f---. Don't think he was a terrorist tbh. (also am not using American state law's definition of "terrorism" to make these claims as i live outside the US)
Oct 3, 2017 The thing is I basicaly have realized this but I never cared to seperate them because it's not a race thing to me, am I like OP and automatically think Muslims when I see terrorism and bombs etc? Sure because that's what the media reports but I don't ignore the fact that these shootings and murders on US soil are done by whites, either
