Nas? Jay? f---ing Eminem? he surpassed Em and Jay a while ago and he's only recently surpassed Nas, and besides that, who's left? Chuck D? KRS One? Kendrick is doing Public Enemy and NWA better than they did as well, and besides that, some obscure afrocentric rappers? none have been as big as him maybe he had a Tribe Called Quest left to surpass but his catalog already makes him close if not at their level, and he has unquestionably surpassed Pac my man, Pac was overrated to begin with i'm not even a stan like i listen to too much music to stan any artist but it seems like n----s don't want to accept the fact that we are living amongst a hip hop GOAT likely because they don't wanna cede the fact that this n----- far surpasses their favorite trend milking trap rapper or the rapper they only enjoy due to a homoerotic attachment towards (s/o Drake sxn) ya'll n----s are delusional EDIT: as a hip hop ARTIST though there's still the likes of Ye/3K to surpass, i was solely referring to being a rapper/lyricist, though he's already showcasing his Ye worthy versatility, look at the transition between GKMC and TPAB n-----, he's doing bleak free jazzy hip hop better than most already and this is his sophomore LP
Mar 4, 2016 Kendrick has the potential to be the actual GOAT,dude has that major label budget with the musical sensibilities of an indie artist, creative control and artistic integrity is paramount to the evolution of an musician. Most of the supposed GOATS had none of those, dudes came out the hardest on their debut then commerialized and watered down their music shortly after to double those dollars, which is why a dude like Jay Z can release juvenile weedplates like Magna Carta 20 years into his career with his debut ironically being his most mature work. Then you got Wayne aimless looking like clown releasing desperation projects with 2chainz despite being full of potential early in his career, wasted talent
Mar 4, 2016 like i listen to Drake and Thug but that doesn't mean i'm not well aware of the fact that Kendrick s----s on everything these two have ever done and is the far superior artist in every conceivable avenue also Kendrick produces or is learning how to, he had a hand in ever track on TPAB production wise
