Sep 22, 2020 Glad to see your opinion changed from your first few listens on release, I knew you were tripping hard on it, just needed to resonate lmao
Sep 23, 2020 I think it’s probably his 4th or 5th best but the word classic is thrown around entirely too much, especially with Eminem. Dude has 2 max
Sep 23, 2020 Not max b. I think definitively 3. The Slim Shady LP... The Marshall Mathers LP... The Eminem Show - one of those is not a classic?
Sep 23, 2020 Relapse is his 4th and final classic for while. But this record is the closest thing to a classic. Nearly every song hits. 12-13 songs atleast are 9 or above for me, so that makes it one of his most consistent releases. Don't like TKN and Farewell is kinda average but i can still vibe to them a bit. Production goes really hard, amazing list of guest artists and they actually did well. Great lyrics. TKN's lyrics, Farewell, 3rd verse on Marsh, Stepdad hook are some low points but other than that nothing really stands out as bad. 88/100 atleast for me and it has aged like wine.
Sep 23, 2020 Might be. But gotta say, Kamikaze is a on par with it if not better. It lacks a feeling of a full album but that doesn't change the fact that the songs were as good as in MTBMB. And btw, some of you call it not classic but great album with high replay value, lol if it has that much of replay value, it's a classic. It's the only thing that seperates a classic from a great album.
Sep 23, 2020 To be honest, I think Recovery and MMLP2 are his modern classics. They resonated both with the most of his fanbase and outside. Especially MMLP2 is commonly loved. I'm not saying they are my favourites but facts are facts. Kamikaze and MTBMB came and went. He is capable of doing a classic album, though, if he stops focusing on himself and serial murders in his lyrics. And he needs a producers who is a visionary like Kanye, for exampke, who would help him put together an album that is mostly MUSIC and not mostly a rap performance (which I love anyway). Kami and MTBMB are fantastic but they won't go down in history as his classic albums. Well, maybe Kami, but I doubt.
Sep 23, 2020 For me yes, i think he came back with Kami that was most like an EP then fully back to his prime with MTBMB, no pop s---, real hip hop like back in the days i put it with SSLP, Relapse Kami & MTBMB is the old Em f--- the other pop s--- Paul made him release....
