Breaking Bad IS the GOAT television show, in my own personal opinion.

Seasons 1 and 2 had me hooked. Watched both season in about 2 weeks. Then it took me about 3 months to get through seasons 3 and 4. Felt like a chore watching season 4. Didn't like it at all and only managed to get through it just because I felt I got that far already.
Feel the same way about Prison Break as I do about Dexter. Early seasons some of the best TV but went on too long and later seasons bring down the series from being one of the greatest.

Season 5 could have been written by a monkey on a typewriter and I wouldn't have noticed a difference in quality.

    So no.

Almost finishing S4. Looking forward to starting S5.

Forgot how painful S4 is to watch. And it's so obvious to tell how they get Wentworth Miller to wear baggy shirts to try and hide how much weight he had put on in this season.

10 episodes into season 4 and I'm losing interest...the series definitely had it's great moments before this, but kinda worried bout this last half of season 4 and season 5..Without spoiling anything, can someone tell me if the last season and a half I got left are worthwhile?

Honestly, a couple of people have recommended this show to me, but I've never watched it, which answers your question. No. If it was one of the greats, I would have watched it by now. When I think about the GOAT television series, I think: Breaking Bad, The Wire, The Sopranos... I wouldn't mention Prison Break in the same sentence as those (literally, I started a new f---in' sentence just to mention it.)

It looks like it's probably OK early on, but I recently saw one of the "Previously on Prison Break..." cold opens attached to the a--- end of some show I had on my DVR, and my first thought was "This looks like the dumbest g.d. thing I've ever seen in my life." The GOATs all achieve that status through consistency in writing, acting, directing, storytelling.... I might watch this some day if I just absolutely have nothing else to do, and someone offers to pay me to watch it. I'm sure it's not as bad as I made it sound, but it feels like the entire premise of the original places "restrictions" if you will on it's ability to expand story-wise, so it makes sense that I see people saying it can be redundant at times.

First half of season 4 was a waste but 2nd half is heating up fast, got 5 or 6 episodes left of season 4 and it's getting real exciting again.

Not sure where I'm watching season 5 once I get there, don't wanna wait till Netflix gets it lol.

The first season was excellent, but like a lot of people have said, the show slowly goes downhill after that. Still good imo.

The first episodes of Season 5 were surpringly good and had me hooked. The ending of the season was dissapointing tho.

I didn't mind S4 as much as some of you. S5 was cool but it felt rushed as h---. I just wish they spent more time with Michael actually in a prison.

The first season was a masterpiece. It had a great plot, lots of suspense, awesome characters and great acting. Season 2 still maintained that quality in my opinion, it was especially great in the first half. The third season was much weaker than the first two seasons but it had maybe the best character development for almost all the characters (especially Mahone and Bellick). The fourth season started off well but it turned into an absolute clusterfuck in the second half. The fifth season was really good and it captured the magic of the first two seasons. So overall I'd say yes, it is one of the greatest series.

First 2 seasons were great but then the whole story kinda started to repeat itself with similar storylines. That's kinda ok but the problem is that the main characters are always well and alive, coming thru whatever obstacle they face. I wasn't too excited with the 5th season because I knew how it'd end. And another problem about Prison Break is that it's a lil far fetched. Some of the things are making me say "no way". They are so absurd. Am I the only one who thinks 5th season's end was pretty illogical ? Michael had that guy's face drawn on his hands and a security check technology of CIA just buys it ?? Come on now lol :D No f---in' way. Prison Break is a little too much fictional.

To talk about its' positives, they are so great at making the viewer curious about the next episode. Characters are great. Topic is great. And yes it's one of the best shows I've ever watched but definitely not better than Breaking Bad.

P.S. - Prison Break is like, writer wrote the 1st season and then they decided to follow up to it because the show was such a success. And he wrote the scenario season after season, Each season individually. But Breaking Bad was like the writer had it all figured out at the beginning. The whole scenario was written all in once and splitted to 5 seasons.
