Oct 16, 2016 I believe that people have to the right to practise religion but not to use it in a authoritative measure to dictate how people should live their lives. Religion itself has caused so much death and destruction that I can't make a case on how it can be any good for the world.
Oct 16, 2016 i dont want to get involve too much in this debate so please dont quote me guys as this will be my only reply here every belief regardless if its religiously linked can be used for evil...this is the most peaceful era of humanity...wars happened for thousands of years regardless of religion, humans and beliefs are enemies
Oct 16, 2016 It's garbage that holds back social progress and science and it's not something that should be encouraged or protected when it's blatantly false.
Oct 16, 2016 I literally hold no opinion on religeon at the moment, as it's a futile debate. However, I think, say, 100 years from now, people will realize how silly we may have been.
Oct 16, 2016 The older I get the more good I can see in religion honestly I don't think I could say it out weighs the bad it's just impossible to compare it to what the world would be like without it but it gave so many people's lives purpose, guidance, a set of morals at the very least even though they are wildly outdated I think humans are incredibly spriritual beings and we would always try to explain the unexplainable in some sort of convuluted way which would in turn kinda turn into a religion anyways so I think a human planet with out any form of religion is sortve impossible
Oct 16, 2016 it's just another thing that divides us, every good thing religion teaches you can learn on your own with out some authority trying to tell you how to live your life. Basic critical thinking is enough to realize religion is just made up human ideas. Honestly if i find out someone is religious, i sort of lose a bit of respect for them
Oct 16, 2016 I used to think religion is, paradoxically, some kind of source of evil in our world but then I looked at it much broader. You can basically say the same thing about politics or money. If you've just come to this or similar conclusion you should think about all these inventions people have made during the latest centuries. Would they still exist if it weren't for money? You can have some brilliant idea but not always you can bring it into fruition without material sources. Having all these things in mind think about the religion. It's true that a lot of wars has its root in it but there are also people who bring good to others because of their beliefs written in the books. You know, the life isn't black and white. You can't say that something is categorically bad.
Oct 17, 2016 I'll just say this, you don't need religion to be a decent or a good human being and to know what's right or wrong. You just need to have a logical brain and use common sense.
Oct 17, 2016 U guys think u were made with autoborn lmao! Life is even tooooooo short to be every thing! Anyway yall will learn one day no hurry
Oct 17, 2016 It's all well and good to say that but the reality is it's not true for some people especially in less developed or poor desperate communities religion does give a strong set of morals for those people
Oct 18, 2016 I feel it does a lot of good for some people as religion can give people strength and get them through tough times. It can also bring certain groups together. But to me it's a false sense of belief and also divides a lot of people as well. So I guess I have mixed feelings about it. Overall I think people have the right to believe what they want but I feel if this was something new that was being introduced in 2016, basically everyone would think it's very stupid and ridiculous. I think most people are just religious cuz it's the way they were brought up when they were too young to think for themselves.
Oct 18, 2016 It's true, as that's how the case is here in our region (Arab world), but also just like all the good things, there's always a down side, too much religion does brainwash you and literally limits yourself from doing what you want or basically enjoying life. It takes away your sensibility. It makes you just another sheep in the herd/victim of the society. Speaking from personal experience of course. I can go on and on and on with this.
