    Yeah this is true. People talk about how much charisma migos have I think they're very very corny. All jokes aside. I get the appeal to an extent though.

    I can also see how people like Kendrick or Playboy Carty but their voices make them mostly unlistenable to me

    Look at that thread for example but everytime something slightly em related gets put into the music section, everyone’s gotta clown it for some reason, must be insecure

    That's the thing, every rapper has flaws that can push away potential listeners, but people need to start seeing difference between "I don't like it" and "This is trash" cause both of these things ain't the same

    That's obviously true, but I don't think Royce lacks charisma at all, he's less charismatic than 10-15 years ago tho

    It’s like the more skilled his writing has got, the less charisma he has lmao

    but it’s not like you can’t go to any of his old s--- & see a whole lot of charisma

    He used to be funny and he’s so joyless and self serious now, and his old s--- has an ear for melody that you never hear anymore in favour of a barrage of rhymes

    Yup, but still it's wrong cause it's just the matter of perspective. People are allowed to dislike anything they want for whatever reason, but saying its trash is not always right lol

    Agreed, he takes himself more serious than anyone else does & the music is clearly being impacted by it.

    This whole diversion into politics has him on some pseudo-woke s--- which has infected his personality, he think he’s the only one that knows about systematic inequalities & he’s preaching it as such. like no sir you’ve been in an alcohol-induced coma for the last couple of decades, it’s you that needs to catch up!

    Royce has always been crazy gifted as a rapper. He's always been one of my favourites. But he makes music for people who listen to rap music and has never broken that mould or reached a broad audience. Not necessarily a bad thing. It takes talent and persistence to be in the game as long as he has without ever being a big mainstream draw. It keeps him out of contention with the proper GOATs though. Honestly I think his ego is Royce's fatal flaw. When he sobered up, he had a real good run, he spoke with clarity and gained some perspective. The success of that run seems to have gone to his head though, he should stay off social media.

    He's just not everyone's cup of tea, it's just a semantics argument. The sentiment is still the same from the oppositions POV anyways however they choose to word their dislike.

    I like his music...can’t say I’ve listening to all his stuff...but will always check out new music here and there...he definitely has skills...from rock city to now...his style has evolved....lupe did beat him badly....

    I do think premo and Royce do have great chemistry...enjoy the tracks they have done in the past...Em/Royce tracks are also good listen too..good chemistry
