Jul 6, 2015 We all know Wayne's first prime, lasted from 2005-2009, but after that, he fell off HARD. But since 2014, he's made a comeback and been coming out with fire, and FWA proves that. What do you think?
Jul 6, 2015 Possibly. not since 2014 but starting with 2015 yeah. this is due to the death of Cash Money Weezy.
Jul 6, 2015 FWA proves that? Are we even listening to the same Wayne? No. No he is not. Every f---ing wayne stan stays overrating every single one of his projects (why is there a rebirth nostalgia contingent now?) and it diminishes the value of his earlier work. Not to mention it lowers the bar of quality for rappers everywhere.
Jul 6, 2015 perhaps. I think the main reason why his newer s--- is as good as it is is because of the whole Birdman situation
Jul 6, 2015 I'm not a Wayne Stan, lets get that straight first. I havent f----- with Wayne since Tha Carter III, aside from a few tracks on Carter IV and Believe Me. And second, this is his first project since "No Ceilings" to get an overwhelming positive reception. He's trying again, he sounds like he has a spark. Granted it's not as great as his first prime. But that's why it's called a first prime. It's the best, and he's not to top that.
Jul 6, 2015 We're not listening to the same Weezy... Weezy was around from 99-09, then Auto-Tunechi took over in 10-13, slowly Weezy came back in 14, and now we're listening to the new Free Weezy. new stage in his career
Jul 6, 2015 Not yet, he made a huge improvement in the quality in his music since 2013 and hes been rapping his a--- off but still he cant be compared to the run he had from 04-09. He might be close to his prime if his next albums (CV) and mixtape (D6) are as good as FWA was and this is coming from a hardcore wayne stan. Hes still the best rapper alive tho
Jul 7, 2015 Aye after hearing "He's Dead", I was like oh man. I def think he's in his second prime, this is just the beginning. Imo he's transitioning back to the greatest
