    Horribly executed track. Deja Vu is correct way to balance a heavy album. Perfectly balances Immortal and Ville Mentality.

    Theres just too many examples of Drake being a great writer and handing out hits to other artists for me to get upset about a couple reference tracks.

    Alright after many more listens, She's Mine Pt 1 and 2 and Foldin Clothes are 3 songs I will probably never revisit. Overall a 7/10 album for me. Best songs: Change, 4YEO, and Neighbors. Solid production, lyrics, and concept. I question the replay value but we'll see. Can't wait til like a week when ppl like @Lebron187 are back on the J Cole Lost movement train :wow5:

    Cole really was rapping his a--- off on this s---, outside of Foldin Clothes (it grew on me but I wish it never came into fruition) I don't really see his usual issue were he's going in but derails that momentum with a wack bar.

    Lol. Maybe you not salty but I find it funny how drake fans, including me, always gotta be defensive and explain the writing situation and that in itself is sad to me, because I know Drake is a great writer and writes a lot of his s---, but how much of it really is him? That's what hurts me personally.

    Bro this s--- f---ing jams. Anyone think Deja Vu is another play off of Dreams/Power Trip? Like from Cole's friends perspective, the girl is rap/music for him as well. But he would be just a small town n----- in the rap game - he's got bigger dreams. In Immortal he says it's sell dope, rap, or go to NBA in that order. In a sense this goes along with the theme of him and Cole's lives being parallel. Last album we got to see Cole growing up as the album went on, this time we get to see his boy growing up from the same or similar places. His friend didn't pursue the girl in Deja Vu as hard as Cole did in Dreams/PT.

    Idk bro I'm reaching I think but I think there's something there. Also this n----- says listen about 100 times on the album, I know that gotta mean something cause in the last verse of the album Cole's homie says "listen" before going in. :wow5:
