Hahah bro saying this s--- a 6/10 then gassing Cole up saying he need to drop another album in a few months

Bro this s--- f---ing jams. Anyone think Deja Vu is another play off of Dreams/Power Trip? Like from Cole's friends perspective, the girl is rap/music for him as well. But he would be just a small town n----- in the rap game - he's got bigger dreams. In Immortal he says it's sell dope, rap, or go to NBA in that order. In a sense this goes along with the theme of him and Cole's lives being parallel. Last album we got to see Cole growing up as the album went on, this time we get to see his boy growing up from the same or similar places. His friend didn't pursue the girl in Deja Vu as hard as Cole did in Dreams/PT.

Idk bro I'm reaching I think but I think there's something there. Also this n----- says listen about 100 times on the album, I know that gotta mean something cause in the last verse of the album Cole's homie says "listen" before going in.

Foldin Clothes (the song itself) is not bad, it just feels weird coming after Neighbors, I think that's what it is.

This album really got people off the fence, it's a sign that Cole really pushed his own boundaries of how people perceived him and nothing but respect for that.

People really need to pay attention to the production on this. So much detail with the live instrumentation and it just translates so well into the emotion that he's trying to show in each song. You can say she's mine or ville mentality is nice background music but it really just captures a state of mind and the music reflects that. I don't think it's an album that you can really ride to in the car like FHD, it's more introspective where you listen to on your headphones when you're out and about, going to work etc. It also feels like an album that's not meant for everyone and aimed at young black males in America, much like TPAB. Cole did his best to make it relatable tho which is probably is greatest strength.

And folding clothes... it actually is a catchy song but yeah execution could've been way better. Just like parts of the song where he goes "I wanna fold clothes for ya..." then you wait for him to go in and like ten seconds later he's like "I wanna fold clothes for ya" The outro actually captures the whole aim of the song which he should have done in the middle of it, in terms of a young black dude who's grown up on the streets but trying to adjust to the "folding clothes" world which seems so alien. This is him doing his best effort at embracing it...
