    If anyone wants a good laugh, go listen to theneedledrop's review of this album. Some of his criticisms are at least a little valid, but overall it's laughable. No wonder I don't watch that guys' reviews anymore lol.

    Okay, but letting millionaires dictate public policy definitely isn't a better solution. They pretty much already can in a lot of ways, Bill Gates single handedly dictated a lot of education overhaul by dangling money in front of starving districts, which is why Cole's mischaracterization that tax dollars are going to too many white teachers is f---ing stupid.

    Changed my mind, The Cut Off is really dope after several listens. One of best songs on album tbh.

    yo this album aint even preachy tbh. u can smoke while listening to him reference drugs and s---. when your not thinking about the overlying concept or the fact that most of the lyrics are satire of mumble rap & cliches, its pretty fire. when you listen all the way through, its trippy as f---, and its still not even that preachy tbh.

    Imagine thinking 1985 is somehow preachy lol its straight facts in that song.

    4 of the songs on the actual album (1985 technically an intro to something else) are bangers (ATM, KOD, Motiv8, Photograph) & like 2 or 3 of them talk about hardships and J. Cole's experience with drugs in his life. Kevin's Heart has dope a--- singing. Brackets is dope. Window Pain is old Cole. k--- edward songs are some 90s influenced s---. They both sound like Deja Vu or Neighbors type s---.

    On second listen, only song that I'm not feeling is The Cut Off. I think it's the just kind of awkward. Need more listens.

    Brackets is some real s---, I hate giving like half my check to taxes. Like hundreds of my s--- go to Uncle Sam every two weeks, I need my money, I got bills.

    The interlude is actually dope, thought it was going to be bad like that some s--- from born sinner.
