i understand he said it during the radio show but i still don't think enough people were clear on it - he shudda also made a lil instagram/twitter post explaining this .... and the tape shudda been titled something like "What A Time to Be Alive: 6 Days"

y'all may think thats corny but just hear me out ...

the reason this tape is receiving any hate at all is because its drake and future and if they really took their time they had the potential to make a goat project

upon listening to it a few times its clear to see that this was in fact made in less than a week, and not made like a true collaborative project ... drake truly does sound like a feature on many of the songs ... and thats not a bad thing, because thats essentially what he is ... this tape is just something that happened organically by drake being in the studio with future and being inspired (like he said in the radio show)

take a song like digital dash, its amazing and drake absolutely murks it but the truth is he's a feature on it, if that was on DS2 as future feat drake in place of where ya at it would b a smash just like where ya at was, but instead on this tape its probably one of the songs that contributes to people saying drake sounds like an afterthought

in short - as a collaborative song drake sounds like an afterthought, as a feature drake comes in and kills it for the last verse

I CANT BELIEVE ANYONE CAN POSSIBLY HATE ON THIS, these two just put in work together and instead of vaulting they feed us fans with stuff to ride to like they both been doing all year ...

tl;dr
the fact this project was made organically unplanned in 6 days shudda been made more clear and the basis of the concept for the project .... so instead of being compared to WTT it just stands alone as something the two hustlers of the year came together to make in less than a week, instead of twitter and critics hating on it, there would be articles like: "What Happens when the hustlers of the year come together for a week of magic", "how one of the projects of the year was made in 6 days" ...

it was titled "What A Time to Be Alive: 6 Days"

Drake tweeted "this is just something me and my brother future got inspired to make and our fans deserve to hear the magic we created #6Days"

s--- wud be trending worldwide for 6 days straight

they could sell shirts that say 6 Days on them

of course the number 6 is perfect too cause it just keeps creating more hype for drake and all his 6 s--- and of course views

i mean cmon y'all does that not get u hyped and would it not change ur perception of the project and the reception it wood receive

@2014 Forever Lives JCN but would u rather they took more time on the project and put real care into it instead of rushing it in 6 days and giving it to the world. I appreciate the generosity but u can see why somewhere towards Cole's approach is a good thing. Saturating the market with ok music is a bit of a dud move to me

Kdot still caking off that Tswift money..

I think the perfect chess move for the collab project would be like a mini 3-4 track taster EP at the end of the year just to send a warning shot to the rest of the game that they taking over 2016 and there's nothing they can do about it. Then they just surprise drop the album /tape at any point during 2016. The hype for it will be unreal cos everyone will know it's coming. And we'll be eating on those 3-4 tracks for the whole year

i gotta give that drake & future tape some rest. imma get bored of it quickly. i finally got around to listening to jay rock's album....... top 3, maybe best album this year. it's that good. rock really did his thing on this.
maybe my fav track.

if they could, but i think the point is they got together to make a couple songs (probably for views) and then just got inspired to make an entire project - but now drake wants to get back to views so instead of vaulting it they released it ... ye i guess they cuda kept it and saved it for later to rework on it, but then lets be honest, if they did that the songs they made probably wuda ended up getting shelved for newer songs that they wuda began working on with a new sound ...

which compares perfectly with cole and kendrick, lets b real we probably never going to get temptations and shock the world ... even if we do ever get their collar it will probably b all new songs, they cud have released a lil ep when they first started working and had 5 or so quality songs which the public deserves to hear ...

so its really a perfect contrast, thanks for helping me realize it ... we have drake and fewtch who came together and out of nowhere made a project organically in 6 days and decided to release it and then we have kendrick and cole where they been apparently "working" on their collab album for like 3, 4, 5 years and we have nothing to show for it and still don't know if its ever gonna come out, u know what i mean

Now I'm really thinking the only way we get those Cole songs in the vault is if he dies prematurely (God forbid). I'd rather he has a LONG successful career that keeps going up so far.
