    not at all. i was caught up in the hype when it dropped, but when the dust settled, all you had left was a rehash of older sounds and a failed attempt at forward progression.

    i like views still because drake is still a great pop artist, but as an album, i feel like it's the most forgettable release of his career. both nwts and take care are still really good to me, and i'm still a drake fan.

    i see. my drake fandom timeline as follows. it was sky high before the debut. The debut had cuts but it just wasn't good enough to keep me engaged. It didn't help that i just heard TWU and FNL dropped later that year. Take Care was great improvement but I was prob too caught up in drake hate to even appreciate it. I still don't really enjoy it when I listen now but I can appreciate some tracks a lot more than I could before. NWTS is the best one to me and I actually enjoy IYR for what it is. So i didn't really have great expectations for Views. Had to re-order the tracklist completely just to even listen to it. I've played it twice since then but really have no desire to listen since so much music dropped.

    JMSN, Sylan LaCue (QuEST), Royce and Chance all in rotation right now.

    It really does but it is what it is. Album still isn't bad to me.

    40 is amazing so he pulls everything together, but you can really tell this album was 2+ years in the making. Lot of different ideas/sounds that don't mesh as well as something like NWTS for example.

    The album should have been some combination of tracks 1-7, 10-12, and 16-19.
