    Top is really lost isn't he? :') You would think a label head would have some clue on how music is consumed these days. I hate seeing him brush off or just blatantly put down streaming as if it's not how lots of people listen to music now.

    Just the fact that he would "attack" the very people that make his artist successful...

    I mean, if it aint an album, who the f--- buys it. I will pay for an album, I'll even hold out and not listen to the single, if I know I'm gonna buy the album.

    Top just sounds bitter, you can't expect everyone to have success with every single song.

    Why aint he talking about Isaiah Rashad, and the lack of shine Smile got?

    Just don't make any sense to me.

    Top an awful, awful CEO. He absolutely destroyed schoolboys hype. Schoolboy was right there, prolly leading the second tier of big Sean, asap Rocky etc. But he hasn't dropped s--- all since oxymoron. Isaiah was building a lot of respect after he dropped cilvia which was a top 5 project in 2014. Nothing since. Ab soul dropped a s-----y project with these days, and top hasn't let him put out anything since.

    Kendrick blowing up was a good and bad thing for TDE. Good for their brand, but terrible for the artists. Kendrick kind of blew up to a point to where he doesn't need Top and push the button for his project releases. The other TDE artists don't.

    At least when they lesser known, they made more tracks. We haven't gotten a black hippy collab in like three years, its shame because they had so much potential and when they made tracks with each other, they all brought out the best in each other.

    I used to think TDE was about to run the game, but Top has done a terrible job of handling them.

    I think He is to worried about getting paid or managing how much money their company generates. If the artist are good, the money will come. endorsements and show.

    I think sometimes you gotta let s--- go for free so you can get the loyalty of the people.

    Also, they have to many artist on their label. This is like what happened to G-Unit. Like just cause one hand success, does not mean that they all will.

    I feel like this is the same issue that Dreamville will have. They are not gonna be able to have all their artist relevant. You can only really have like 3-4 Artist on your label. That's just me. I would have two/three rappers, an R&B singer. Also, you have to have one or two in house producers.

    That would be my way. Focus most of my attention on a few people and that's it.

    BUT what do I know... :idk:

    Has any label tried to do that and ended up being successful in the past? Feel like it's tough to keep everyone relevant no matter what but I might be wrong

    I think it will be the opposite, they riding high on emotion. Game 7 in Oracle, with those fans?

    This is like the 2004 ALCS when the Sox were down to the yankees 3-0... Sox ended up winning 4 straight and blow the Yankees out at home.

    That has a better feel, than the Warriors losing. Not to mention, historically, game 7 mostly goes in favor of the home team.
